Active in communities across Canada, the Alzheimer Society offers programs and services to help people living with dementia, caregivers and health-care professionals. We provide information, resources, guidelines and support.
The Alzheimer Society is the national voice for Canadians living with dementia. We raise awareness about the issues and concerns that matter most to them.
We work with politicians, policy makers and other community and health-care organizations to advocate for change in legislation, policies and programs at all levels of government.
We also fund both young and established Canadian researchers working to find ways to improve care, the causes of dementia and ultimately a cure.
We are here to help
You are welcome to contact your local Alzheimer Society without a referral from a health care professional. No matter how Alzheimer’s disease or any other form of dementia affects you or your family, your local Alzheimer Society can be a helpful resource for information about getting a diagnosis and how to live as well as possible with dementia.
